Remember this because it will happen many times in your life. When people show you who they are the first time believe them. Not the 29th. time. When a man doesn’t call you back the first time, when you are mistreated the first time, when someone shows you lack of integrity or dishonesty the first time, know that this will be followed many many other times, that will some point in life come back to haunt or hurt you. Manipulators are very skilled at doing just that… manipulating…They are very good at offering excuses, and explaining things away…don’t listen to their words, pay attention to their deeds…this is so accurate, and if spares the heart of just one person, it is well worth it…remember always…repeated chances are the enemy of peace and contentment…The very first time your gut tells you that something seems disingenuous, pay attention…show them to the door…you will never regret acting on what your brain is trying to tell you BEFORE you get in emotionally over your head, and believe every feeble, ridiculous excuse that is tossed your way. Crumbs are the ammunition of the disordered.

Very true Diana! I stayed in a relationship & marriage wwwaayy TOO long hoping he’d change. He always hadd excuses for his actions. It was always something,someone’s else fault or mine that he was behaving that way. I finally decided that I was the one who had to make the change. I was done with his emotional, mental & verbal abusive ways which near the end of the relationship turned into physical abuse.
