I can understand how some can not put pain away, and yes it can leave scars. I guess I am one of those ppl who analizes ever thing. First of all I seems to draw unwanted pain. I start by first taking a look at my part then the other persons. After thinking about it for a while and finally forgiving them and myself. Each time my mind brings it back up through though the pain become less until it can come to mind and fade away. No scars because I allows the though process to complete I also put it where it belongs lesson learn in the pass.
If we allow ourselves to remain in the future and trying to duck things that hurt you will remain. Life is not always what we want it to be.
i agree the pain is still there.you keep going over the abuser said and how he treated you.and it made a abuser out of you.i have worked my issues out with myself.my children departed after my husband.showed the same support that my mother and my husband did.now i have to pick up my life and start over.i am not a person with out hope.god is my hope.karen
