Speak up.

Seriously, be strong and know when enough is enough. You need to stop hiding from that difficult decision. Take your stand, speak up and refuse to let others hurt you. Throughout your lifetime some people will discredit you, disrespect you and treat you poorly for no apparent reason at all. Don’t consume yourself with trying to change them or win their approval.
And don’t make any space in your heart to hate them. You don’t have control over what others think about you, but you do have control over how you decide to internalize their opinions. Leave them to their own judgments. Let people love you for who you are, and not for who they want you to be. Or let them walk away if they choose. They can’t harm you either way; it’s their understanding that is faulty, not yours.

  1. Till today I keep asking myself what I had done to deserve the humiliation and deceit. I have failed to find the answear how loving too deeply could bring grief and insult to destroy so much in me. Perhaps I never will know but certainly learnt never to give whole heartedly where it’s not deserved .
Love is too precious to be wasted on places where it’s depth and magnitude will never be comprehended or understood and certainly not respected or valued. Some people are incapable to recieve it at all. Like higher knowledge it needs to be shared among those with the internal ingredients to appreciate. Otherwise it’s a waste of the greatest gift completely.
One day a void will take it’s place within me where all the pain resides and one day I will smile back and wonder with a laugh “Darn how I wasted it all in exchange for the insults & criticisms it got me ” … Till then let time takes it’s course and the almighty lend a helping hand.

  2. Dear Nobody, I know well, like you, how the behaviour of others can affect us so badly, and hurt so much. However, it will help to think of it this way: how they behave, is about them, and their doing; how you react and how much you hurt, is your doing. They have touched a rawness in you, an insecurity, a fear, that has started to resonate and it is this that hurts. We are not a victim, we too play a role in every situation we are in. Just think…. had you behaved differently, made different decisions, would this exact same situation have occurred? What did you do, what decision did you make, that contributed to this hurt to occur? Bless this experience, for it has taught you a valuable lesson. Often, our enemies are our greatest teachers and if this leads to a better you, a more experienced you, a richer you, then the time it takes is never wasted.

  3. What if it is your own flesh and blood that did this to you, I paid a high price for doing what this quote preaches ….today my daughter has distanced herself and my grandchildren from me. A word of caution, such quotes should not be taken lightly.
