Someday we’ll forget.

Someday we’ll forget the hurt, the reason we cried, and who caused us pain. We will finally realize that the secret of being free is not revenge, but letting things unfold in their own way and own time. After all, what matters is not the first, but the last chapter of our life which shows how well we ran the race. So smile, laugh, forgive, believe, and love all over again.

  1. This is a very good post which only leaves out a distinct fallacy of life. The whole premise happens to be do not let another hold you down. If someone were to hurt you then move on and allow yourself the freedom to do what is right and best for you. No one else will do that for you and I happen to get this moral. What I have issue with is if someone hurts you then you are in control of your destiny and thus should not allow such. The author thus uses the word forgive to which many have said to me that this function is used as a self healing process. If someone hurts me then I DO NOT need a healing process as I have realized it and moved on. As human beings and individuals, the only one we each can control is ourselves. Thus, if the other party who hurt you is not willing of that forgiveness then why give it? I see no need in doing so and think this work should NOT be included in this quote as it does nothing other than defeat the purpose of what is being said. Just my two cents worth!
