Not everything is long lasting.

Not everything is long lasting. Sometimes people come into your life to show you what is right and what is wrong, to show you who you can be, to teach you to love yourself, to make you feel better for a little while, or to just be someone to walk with at night and spill your life to. Not everyone is going to stay forever, and we still have to keep on going and thank them for what they’ve given us. — Emery Allen

  1. You can not force people to stay, thats right. This is usually very bad for one person. A catastrophe when one loves sincerely. I can not imagine how terrible it would be, when my love would leave me now, but of course I would have to accept it somehow and survive.

  2. Of course you cannot imagine it, but if the lover of your life, your soulmate, the one who still makes your heart drop a beat when you see him in a crowded room, the one who asked you to marry him 23 years ago, and the wonderful dad to the children that you both bore and raised decided one day to leave you, after dropping the youngest child off at college, I guess I should just figure out how to accept this? I should just let him go and live his life – while I try to pick up the pieces of the life he left behind.

  3. You can’t go back, you can’t rewind life. So the choices are but two. Stay put where you are, with anger, fear, resentment, and a wounded heart and become, bitter, and old before your years. Or, push forward, struggle ahead, envision the light at the end of the dark tunnel you find yourself in, and race toward the future one footsteps at a time.
There’s no going back, no changing what has been, there’s only what is to come…..it’s called the future.
