Most people get married believing a myth.

Most people get married believing a myth, that marriage is beautiful box full of all the things they have longed for; companionship, intimacy, friendship. The truth is that marriage, at the start, is an empty box. You must put something in before you can take anything out. There is no love in marriage; love is in people, and people put it into marriage. There is no romance in marriage; people have to infuse it into their marriages. A couple must learn the art, and form the habit of giving, loving, serving, praising– keeping the box full. If you take out more than you put in, the box will be empty.

  1. Thats true.
It is always a give and take. And both partners have to cultivate this box to the same extent and see that it is always filled. I this is a hard job. I also think, the contents of the box is very important. The partners must develop a good sense of, how their needs, expectations and possibilities are to fill the box with the right things. This is even more difficult and I admit, that I have big problems, to practise this task determined. Altough I think, that I´m a good giver.

  2. Why nooneespecial commenter, are you now ready to have the box in your life?

It is a lifetime commitment…not a joke…the serious side of life. Do not be in a hurry to go into it if you are not yet comfortable to shape your freedom.
