Love is action. Everything else is just words.

Love is more black and white than we like to tell ourselves. Don’t allow anyone to keep you trapped in the “promise” of the gray area. The bottom line is: If they love you, TRULY love you, they’ll do whatever it takes to be with you. There won’t be excuses or doubts or fears or hesitation. Love is ACTION. Everything else is just words.

  1. I feel we do make it more complicated then it is only because we wants to see more there then what really is it hope to ease the pain.

  2. While I read this with interests, I would disagree. Love is not action, but rather a source of motivation to do. It is when our actions result in outcomes that fall short of our expectations that lead us to being pensive about “what love really is.” How much we do, often depends on how much we love; and as Shakespeare said, “therein lies the rub.” Doing whatever it takes to be with someone is just not good behavior, because doing so allows/encourages the receiving party to do nothing, particularly when they don’t love ‘you’ at all.

Love is motivation. It is true immortality. A thing that has a beginning and no end that will transcend space and time for an eternity. We should all be careful with whom we share such an eternal thing. I would hate to have the two problems misguided love often brings: 1, being a single woman (which I was before I loved) and; 2, the memory of unmet expectations.

    1. Hi Kathy; I believe love is action. Corinthians 13:4-

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

  3. Love is definitely an action. It is not just words. If you truly love someone, you will “do”, not just “talk”. Think of how our beloved Savior Jesus Christ showed us how much He really loves us. He did not just talk. He proved it on the cross. That was an action. That was TRUE LOVE!

  4. Love is everything good. John 3:16. When we love a person, we ‘do’ things for the goodness of the subject. Indeed, it is shown in action. It is selfless, kind, and good. How do we know, somebody loves us? We felt it, we see it coz he does show it. True love is endless, I agree. It’s what we all need.

  5. Do every little thing to prove how much we love someone and let him know that we always care. Tell the one we love what we feel to make him understand, eventhough he doesn’t feel the same way, because we never know whether we still have the chance to do all the things we’d like to do for him the next day.

  7. Remembering I never asked anyone to love me in return, those feelings would be all up to them..but not necessary for me to give love, my feelings, my heart so therefore my choice..
