I no longer have patience for certain things.

I no longer have patience for certain things, not because I’ve become arrogant, but simply because I reached a point in my life where I do not want to waste more time with what degrades me or hurts me. I have no patience for cynicism, excessive criticism and demands of any nature. I lost the will to please those who do not like me, to love those who do not love me. I no longer spend a single minute on those who lie or want to manipulate. I decided not to coexist anymore with pretense, hypocrisy, dishonesty and cheap praise. I do not adjust either to popular gossiping. I hate conflict and comparisons. In friendship I dislike the lack of loyalty and betrayal.

  1. Hi, this is so true. However, I do still do my best to forgive and love those who hurt me. To forgive and love others is simply understanding that we are all at different points of maturity when it comes to life lessons. One can not be angry with a mentally ill person or a too young child for not acting appropriate, they don’t know any better. If you apply this to mentally sane people just try to understand that we don’t all have the same capacities to understand everything since we are at different maturity stages (though sometimes it can also be due to cultural differences it still applies in these cases aswell). Just because you decide to forgive someone it doesn’t mean that you have to spend time with him/her, for example if this person continually hurts you then keep your distance. But send the person positive and loving thoughts. Love, Maria
