I am happy when I eat fresh fruit, when I burst out laughing, when I discover a new song, when I finish a good book, when I wake up and feel relaxed. I’m glad to have friends, family, a home, food when I’m hungry, hot water when I shower. I love being able to live, travel and see the seasons change. There are so many things that make life so simple and easy and I will always think about them more than all the bad things that will happen to me. I do not have time to be sad every day and ungrateful; I have every reason in the world to be happy.

I can relate Brigitte. This is something that I wrote to my brother a few weeks ago. My Faith in God and my gratitude for all of his blessings is what keeps me filled with Joy.

Some of the things I am most grateful for is that God blessed me with the kind of heart that is grateful for the things that most people take for granted every day. I am constantly aware and extremely grateful that He blessed me with a fine home to protect me from the elements and to be comfortable in on the many days that I don’t feel well. I am never without food, and He has provided me with an income so that I am able to sustain myself in this world. I am grateful for always being very content with His many blessings. I rarely feel well but I am always content. I have so much to be thankful for even though my life didn’t go the way I had hoped it would. I realize that whatever His reasons and plans are, are far more important than the things that I thought I needed or wanted in this life.
My Faithful heart is filled with His Peace and Joy.
I am so grateful simply for being grateful and content. I am so blessed! How awesome is that!

I want this for you brother!

I was wondering what the background story is behind this quote, and if it was dedicated to someone. (Asking for an assignment in English class)
