Happiness is a choice – not a result. Nothing will make you happy until you choose to be happy. No person will make you happy unless you decide to be happy. Your happiness will not come to you. It can only come from you. – Ralph Marston

So if happiness is a choice as you claim that means that depression is a choice.
It is really disgraceful that you think mental illness is so casually done away with. It is rather insulting that you keep pushing this happiness is a choice lie. Because I guarantee people do not wake up in the morning and say to themselves “You know what I think I’m going to be depressed today because it sounds like fun I’m going to choose depression over happiness.” That just does not happen. Depression is a mental illness a chemical imbalance in the brain, and cannot just be washed away by choice. How disgusting of you to shame so many people that suffer from depression making then feel like it’s their fault they are sick and that they can choose not to be. But they can not choose to come out of depression it is not that simple and no happiness is not a choice. Happiness is an emotion so stop pushing that lie because you make yourself seem very insensitive to the facts and to those who suffer daily.
