  1. Oh so true! The man I married 10 years ago showed signs of control before we married, but I brushed it off as ‘oh he just cares for me.’ Then I spent 10 years being abused and controlled. Do not EVER ignore your inner voice. It’s usually right. I didn’t heed the many warnings before hand and regretted it every day. But I’m separated now and will never ignore my gut feelings again in any situation!

    1. Char? I’m reading this a yr late. I 2 was controlled/abused in every form. Our son also, I trusted he’d never hurt him. My divorce took a yr. There’s a pg. A grp. It’s new called ‘I’m that Girl on FB started by a dear friend of mine, re: Domestic Abuse. I’ve made it my mission 2 end the Stigma of Domestic Violence and will be starting my own grp as well soon.Its my hope U are ok. I found this pg. late as well and in such a short x it’s quotes have given me strength that I seem 2 keep losing.
