Sometimes you just need to be alone, that’s okay. It doesn’t mean anything’s wrong with you, or even that anything’s wrong in your life. Sometimes you need to create the space to soul search, recover, think, rest, and just BE. You don’t have to apologize for needing or taking this space, it’s part of what makes you a happy, healthy person.

This is for those who to stay up at night listening to music to escape their current situation. For those who hide their fears, hurt, pain and tears under their smiles on a daily basis. For those who wear their heart on their sleeve. For those who pray that things will work out just once.Just. This. Once. For those who scream and cry into their pillows because everyone else fails to listen. For those who have many secrets but won’t tell a soul. For those who have it hard but don’t let anyone know. For those who never have it easy but never give up. For those carrying regrets and mistakes. For those who stay up night thinking about that someone and hoping they’ll be noticed one day. For those who take life as it comes and who are hoping that it’ll get better somewhere down the road. For those who love with all their hearts although they’ve been hurt many times before. For those who think it’s over. Just know this. It’s going to be okay and you are not alone. Your day will come and all that love you want and need will come and stay.

Eat alone, take yourself on dates, sleep alone. In the midst of this you will learn about yourself. You will grow, you will figure out what inspires you, you will curate your own dreams, your own beliefs, your own stunning clarity, and when you do meet the person who makes your cells dance, you will be sure of it, because you are sure of yourself. Wait for it. Please, I urge you to wait for it, to fight for it, to make an effort for it if you have already found it, because it is the most beautiful thing your heart will experience. ~  Bianca Sparacino

If I showed you my teardrops, Would you collect them like rain, Store them in jars, That are labelled with “Pain”, Would you follow their tracks, From my eyes down my cheeks, As they write all the stories, I’m too scared to speak, Would you stop them with kisses, Bring their flow to a halt, As you teach me that pain, Isn’t always my fault, Would you hold my face gently, As you dry both my eyes, And whisper the words, “You’re too precious to cry”, If I showed you my teardrops, Would you show me your own, And learn though we’re lonely, We’re never alone. ~e.h.

The capacity to be alone is the capacity to love. It may look paradoxical to you, but it is not. It is an existential truth: only those people who are capable of being alone are capable of love, of sharing, of going into the deepest core of the other person – without possessing the other, without becoming dependent on the other, without reducing the other to a thing, and without becoming addicted to the other. They allow the other absolute freedom, because they know that if the other leaves, they will be as happy as they are now. Their happiness cannot be taken by the other, because it is not given by the other. ~ Osho

“At some point you will realize that you have done too much for someone or something; that the only next possible step to do is to stop. Leave them alone. Walk away. It’s not like you’re giving up, and it’s not like you shouldn’t try. It’s just that you have to draw the line between determination and desperation. What is truly yours will eventually be yours, and what is not, no matter how hard you try, will never be.”

I am secure in who I am. I don’t need the validation of those that would say, you have to be a certain way in order to be accepted. I’m comfortable going against the grain. I’m walking my path and I will always walk in the direction my heart tells me to go, even if I must walk alone.

Right now, there are people all over the world who are just like you. They’re lonely. They’re missing somebody. They’re in love with someone they probably shouldn’t be in love with. They have secrets you wouldn’t believe. They wish and they dream and they hope, and they look out the window whenever they’re in the car or on a bus or a train and they watch people on the streets and wonder what they’ve been through. They wonder if there are people out there like them. They’re like you, and you could tell them everything and they would understand. And right now, they’re sitting here reading these words, and I’m writing this for you so you don’t feel alone anymore.

    You need to know.
Everyone deserves love without terms and conditions. Everyone has a right to live their life the way they want. Everyone has the right to be happy without feeling guilty. No one deserves abuse. Everyone is good enough for healthy love. No one has the right to hurt anyone. Everyone can be happy. Everyone feels completely alone and lost sometimes. It is okay to be yourself. It’s okay to be happy with yourself, your life. It’s okay to say no. You need to be honest, with everyone and yourself. Live your life, be honest, love everyone – everything you can. Do anything you want as long as it’s not hurting someone else or yourself, don’t take s**t, you deserve the best.

When we are faced with great pain in our lives, we are given the opportunity to grow from it. Wisdom comes with a heavy price and many tears are bound to happen along the way; Just remember that mist is often in the field when dawn is just beyond the horizon. You may feel like you are lost, but it will clear and you will see that you are not alone, you were never alone, and slowly but surely, you will make your way home.

I can’t emphasize enough the importance of learning to be alone by going on solo adventures to shape and promote your sense of independence. You don’t always have to surround yourself with people. Become your own best friend. Take the time and buy yourself a cup of coffee, tea or drink relax and enjoy it. Learn to love every bit of your company! There is nothing more freeing and empowering.

Introverts, in contrast, may have strong social skills and enjoy parties and business meetings, but after a while wish they were home in their pajamas. They prefer to devote their social energies to close friends and family. They listen more than they talk, think before they speak, and often feel as if they express themselves better in writing than in conversation. They are not angry, depressed or anti-social. They just need to be alone for awhile. Many have a horror of small talk, but enjoy deep discussions.”

To lose sleep worrying about a friend or a loved one. To have trouble picking yourself up after someone lets you down. To feel whole again because someone didn’t love you enough to stay. To be afraid to try something new for fear you’ll fail. None of this means you’re dysfunctional or crazy. It just means you’re human, and that you need a little time for yourself. You are not alone. No matter how embarrassed or hopeless you feel about your own situation, there are others out there experiencing the same emotions. When you hear yourself say, “I am all alone,” it is your mind trying to sell you a lie. There are so many people that feel exactly the way you do. You are not alone and you will get through this.

It hurts to let go. Sometimes it seems the harder you try to hold on to something or someone the more it wants to get away. You feel like some kind of criminal for having felt, for having wanted. For having wanted to be wanted. It confuses you, because you think that your feelings were wrong and it makes you feel so small because it’s so hard to keep it inside when you let it out and it doesn’t come back. You’re left so alone that you can’t explain. Damn, there’s nothing like that, is there? I’ve been there and you have too. You’re nodding your head. – Henry Rollins

I used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone, it’s not. The worst thing in life is to end up with people that make you feel all alone. ~ Robin Williams

Sometimes I like to be left alone. Not because I’m angry, not because I’m sad, simply because I need solitude. ~Brigitte Nicole
