Don’t let anyone invalidate or minimize how you feel. If you feel something, you feel it and it’s real to you. Nothing anyone says has the power to invalidate that, ever. No one else lives in your body. No one else sees life through your eyes. No one else has lived through your experiences. And so, no one else has the right to dictate or judge how you feel. Your feelings are important and you deserve to be heard. They are inherently valid and they matter. Don’t let anyone make you believe otherwise.

Yes, I believe that you need to feel that feeling, even if it is negative in order to make peace with it. I can be very emotional and sensitive, and I have been criticized for it. I’ve been told “Oh, stop feeling sorry for yourself” or “Stop whining and complaining.” I understand that we are responsible for how we feel and what we put out there, so not everyone will be receptive and kind. There is always someone who can be just as negative as you are. That is just an indicator reflecting back to you how you feel… to remind you where your energy is. But, I strongly believe that our feelings matter and it should not be dismissed and undervalued, because it makes us feel helpless and powerless. Sometimes, I think we need to acknowledge that we have something active in our vibration that is bothering us. We need to come to terms with it so we can help ourselves move on and get better. We just can’t expect everyone to understand where we are coming from, but we can learn to make peace with that restless feeling and allow it to be at ease.

I agree with Nikki. No one has the right to judge you when they have not had the experiences you have had. It takes a lot of time and effort to realize your weaknesses and learn to face them and overcome them. I lost a 15 year old son. He passed away suddenly from a heart attack. It has taken me years to figure out how to cope. I have been judged for that. But I can honestly say that i have learned a great deal about myself and I do not have to apologize for anything.
