LETTER FROM A MOTHER TO A DAUGHTER:

“My dear girl, the day you see I’m getting old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I’m going through. If when we talk, I repeat the same thing a thousand times, don’t interrupt to say: “You said the same thing a minute ago”… Just listen, please. Try to remember the times when you were little and I would read the same story night after night until you would fall asleep.
When I don’t want to take a bath, don’t be mad and don’t embarrass me. Remember when I had to run after you making excuses and trying to get you to take a shower when you were just a girl?

When you see how slow I am when it comes to new technology, give me the time to learn and don’t look at me that way… remember, honey, I patiently taught you how to do many things like eating appropriately, getting dressed, combing your hair and dealing with life’s issues every day… the day you see I’m getting old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I’m going through.

If I occasionally lose track of what we’re talking about, give me the time to remember, and if I can’t, don’t be nervous, impatient or arrogant. Just know in your heart that the most important thing for me is to be with you.

And when my old, tired legs don’t let me move as quickly as before, give me your hand the same way that I offered mine to you when you first walked.

When those days come, don’t feel sad… just be with me, and understand me while I get to the end of my life with love.

I’ll cherish and thank you for the gift of time and joy we shared. With a big smile and the huge love I’ve always had for you, I just want to say, I love you… my darling daughter.”

Its so touching bcoz its all written about the time when a mother takes all the pain while taking care of her child..
And when she grows old nobody even cares about her dat shes gonna go away forever one day

Its a hell of a lot more painful when it’s children looking after their own older poorly Parents, than a new parent looking after after a Child. Experiencing both; the two feelings and emotions are very things. You cannot compare the two

I come from a different time period. A different country and a different culture. There are some people out there that can identify with that. Everyones life experiences are different due to there social, economic, and cultural background. Due to there generational heritage. Some of us love our mothers in a way that others cannot comprehend,or understand. How we love sometimes comes from where we have been and what we have been taught. Some of us have to learn a new way of understanding, and letting go. Finally we have to learn to love ourselves and see ourselves as god sees us. We have to learn that we are loveable. Until we are ready to believe in and accept that god really does love us , and always has and always will. Unconditionally. We cannot share that love with others.

dear mom. You yelled at me my entire life, which is why I yell at you now. You want me to be patient when you dragged me by the hand from school, not even letting me say goodbye to my friends? You want me to be nice to you when you left me alone in that stinky lady’s apartment so you can go on your fancy dates? And yeah, let’s not forget the time when you did not show up to any single event thay was important to me. You missed my high school graduation because of a manicure appointment. I hope you enjoy being ignored by me, just like I was always ignored by you.

This could easily have been from a mother to a son!

I have no daughters only sons!

My mother has alzthiemers and I answer the same question again and again, and i am trying so hard to be patient and kind. The cursing/yelling accusing my daughter of stealing and I am the only child and my daughter is the only granddaughter. I know she always loved me through every wrong choice I made in life but she is so difficult, and when she screams and curses I just have to leave. I know there will be a point and time I will not be able to take care of her, she has lost down to 114 lbs. her appetite is getting so poorly. I love her so much I know she is not in her right mind now but I pray she never loses her mind totally. None of us would. My mother was an artist but she gave it up to take care of her mother who also had Alzheimer’s , but my sweet grandmother never acted like my mother with this disease. I just pray there will be a cure. So many brilliant minds lost .
