If someone really wanted you, they’d actually put some effort into trying to get your attention, and make sacrifices for you. They wouldn’t just tell you they wanted you; they’d show you in every little way possible that they want you.

    Nice idea
The reality is some people put all the effort in to get you and then neglect you once the ring is on your finger.
    My true story

he doesn’t “depress you”…no one has that ‘power’ over your moods. You are depressed because he isn’t what you want him to be: attentive & loving. Get over it – time to move on – you deserve better than this – find another who does appreciate you for your unique & wonderful being…if he can’t make ‘an effort’ he simply isn’t interested: accept that & get away from him…he’s toxic for you.
