Depression is when you don’t really care about anything. Anxiety is when you care too much about everything. And having both is just like hell.

Agreed glad to know I am not the only one. Hang in there we all have our demons. Say a prayer during hard times and it will set the worry free.

Suzanne having suffered mainly depression for most of my life with the bouts of anxiety that become a part of it , I would recommend that you get professional help for him. The correct medication is the only way

This picture quote says it all. I suffer from both anxiety and depression. There’so many people that I am around that don’t understand that I am unable to be a lovey-dovey and touchy-feely person and have no control over my ability to be so. I am happy just being by myself. My anxiety prevents me from being able to be around more than one person without wanting to remove myself from the situation. Solitude is where I find peace.

HI Robin, I am so sorry you are going through difficult times. To get help, go see your doctor. That is the perfect place to start.

Anxiety is more because of over thinking. Too many thoughts and fear of failure are the causes. To apply a break on the thoughts that zip thru our mind, we need to practice meditation, and gain power from God almighty, to cope with it. Also, it is important to develop detachment from materialistic things and relationships. It is also important to believe that whatever happens, ultimately it will be good for me, my family and community that I live in. Meditation helps in gaining courage to face situations which are not under our control.
